There's promotion. And then there's scaling the Empire State Building. Thirty Seconds to Mars' Jared Leto made history in November when he became the first person to legally scale the Manhattan landmark in a bid to promote the band's upcoming tour.
"In a lot of ways, this album is about following your dreams and pushing yourself to do the impossible," said the actor-singer. "Climbing the Empire State Building certainly falls into that category for me."
While we can't promise that Leto will be scaling Rod Laver Arena, we can promise one helluva performance by the multi-platinum-selling rock band. The Seasons World Tour includes a slate of Australian dates, with a one-off Melbourne show on September 12, 2024.
Comprised of brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, Thirty Seconds to Mars has made a sky-rocket of a return with their sixth studio album, It's the end of the world but it's a beautiful day.
The album has signified a new era for the band, one that delves into the darker sides of the human experience but also serves as a cause for hope, a reminder that you can overcome any obstacle – and scale the seemingly impossible.
Concertgoers can expect to hear hit songs from the latest album, such as 'Stuck', as well as hits from over the years, including 'The Kill', 'This is War' and many more.
Thirty Seconds to Mars will perform a one-off concert at Rod Laver Arena on September 12, 2024. For complete tour and ticket information, visit the Live Nation website here.
