The banjo-plucking folk singer (and avid horticulturist) Gregory Alan Isakov has announced a tour across Australia and New Zealand to celebrate his recently released album Appaloosa Bones.
As well as performing in Sydney and Brisbane, the Grammy-nominated singer will perform a one-off concert at Melbourne's Forum Theatre on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
Inspired by the likes of Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen, the South African-born and Colorado-based indie-folk artist first rose to prominence after touring with Kelly Joe Phelps.
He has since released six full-length studio albums, including That Sea, The Gambler, This Empty Northern Hemisphere, The Weatherman, Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony, Evening Machines (nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Folk Album) and his latest, Appaloosa Bones.
Audiences can expect to hear tracks from his latest album and plaintive anthems such as 'Big Black Car', 'Amsterdam', 'San Luis' and 'The Stable Song'.
Gregory Alan Isakov will perform at the Forum Theatre on January 28, 2024. You can get tickets now on the Ticketek website here.
