There is truly no one like Dolly Parton. The 73-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has been a country music star for over six decades and in 2019, shows no signs of slowing down. So then what better way is there to pay tribute to the queen of country than to hold a one-night-only Dolly Parton tribute night?
This event will take place as part of this year’s Brunswick Music Festival on Sunday, March 10 at the Estonian House. The show will see local musicians like Alexander Gow (from Oh Mercy), Emily Lubitz, Emma Donovan, Loretta Miller and Sarah Mary Chadwick dip into Dolly’s back catalogue and perform some of her most famous songs. Expect to hear anything from ‘Jolene’ to ‘9 to 5’ reinterpreted and reimagined by these talented musicians.
Tickets are $37. BYO tiny saxophone.
