Melbourne Queer Film Festival was postponed this year due to current restrictions. While we’re certain the event will rise again for a belated 30th anniversary celebration, in the meantime, film buffs can still join the MQFF for a movie night.
The film festival has organised a virtual film night on Friday, May 1 via Facebook Live. MQFF will be screening its 2018 opening film, Freak Show, a comedic coming-of-age story featuring Bette Midler, Alex Lawther, Laverne Cox and Abigail Breslin.
The virtual film night kicks off at 7pm with an introduction from MQFF program director Spiro Economopoulos before starting the film at 7.15pm.
