The Australian Ballet is ensuring your time spent indoors is truly en pointe. Following the launch of its online studios during 2020, the Australian Ballet has re-released its online adult dance classes for the humble price of $16.
The Australian Ballet usually runs its adult classes from the Primrose Potter Australian Ballet Centre in Southbank, Melbourne, but while it’s shut the classes are going online. All aspiring dancers can take part, with classes offered at a beginner, and at a combined intermediate/advanced level.
The $16 fee pays for one class, which you can access as many times as you like during a seven day period. Classes are refreshed 4pm every Thursday, with each training session running for 60 minutes.
As most of us don't have a barre set up in our living rooms, the Australian Ballet reccommends using a kitchen bench, chair or bar stool (something that goes up to roughly hip height) in its place. Other than that its a matter of putting on some stretchy clothes and practicing your plié.
