After a sellout run at the Sydney Festival and an appearance in Brisbane, contemporary dance performance Dust is coming to Melbourne for one show only. MLIVE presents the show by renowned Northern Queensland dance company Dancenorth.
Time Out Sydney's 4-star review of the show described it as “a chain of events in sequence that brings to mind history-building, myth-making and evolution of human life”. Grappling with questions of personal, social, political and cultural inheritance and how individuals can shape their own futures, the performance revolves around the emotions emitted from the stage.
Dust is told through choreography by Dancenorth’s artistic and associate artistic directors Kyle Page and Amber Haines, set against a minimalist backdrop featuring moving setpieces designed by the award-winning Liminal Studio. Keep an eye on it as the dancers cut through the space accordingly – the shape of their movement altered by each new environment.
Fans of Canadian experimental rock group Thee Silver Mt Zion will be in for a treat, as the performance will feature emotionally charged music by the band's violinist Jessica Moss. Don't miss this exquisite work, tickets are on sale now via MLIVE.
