Time Out says

Love comedy, but sick of dick jokes and boring, sexist quips? There's nothing funny about the lack of diversity in Australia's comedy scene – which is where Lemon comes in.

In 2017, this monthly comedy night opened at Fitzroy queer bookshop Hares and Hyenas. It made a splash by featuring big line-ups that showcased voices in comedy that are not always heard, treating audiences to sets by comedians who are female-identifying and gender non-binary, Indigenous, people of colour, LGBTQIA or living with disability.

Generally, Lemon line-ups feature established comics like DeAnne Smith, Shiralee Hood, Laura Davis, Sami Shah and Geraldine Hickey, as well as up-and-comers.

This time, they're making their way to the Imperial Hotel during MICF. As for which comedians audiences can expect, they're keeping that under wraps for now – but follow their social media for more info closer to the dates.
