There’s a thin line between comedy and tragedy, so we suppose it makes sense that a shiny purpose-built comedy theatre popped up in Melbourne during 2020. Comedy Republic is a space created by comedians, for comedians and made out of comedians (we jest, as far as we know anyway).
Comedy Republic has three regular comedy nights every week, with shows Thursday through Saturday. Head upstairs on Thursdays for Comedy Connection, a rapid fire hour of jokes from four comedians. Or if you'd like to skip the entree for the main event, visit Comedy Republic on a Friday or Saturday night for killer shows by some of Australia's favourite comics – we're talking the likes of Geraldine Hickey, Arj Barker, Diana Nguyen and Dave Thornton.
