Did you miss out on seeing Charlie Lewin's show Cockatiel at Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2021? No sweat. After picking up the Best Newcomer award at MICF, Lewin is bringing Cockatiel back to Melbourne for two nights only as part of his Midsumma Festival debut this February.
Cockatiel is a titillating traipse through Lewin's life, from his time at Catholic school right through to Grindr. All the while peppering the coming-of-age story with the sort of songs and musicality that only a former drama kid can.
The gig is showing for two nights only at Comedy Republic this February 11 to 12. Consider it a warm-up to his new show, It's Giving Char, showing as part of MICF 2022 this autumn.
