Do the ‘burbs really do it better? Here at Narre Warren’s new answer to luxury city clubbing, you might find yourself rethinking what you know about parties on the fringe. Empire is the brainchild of producer and DJ Andy Murphy, music industry entrepreneur Nick Foley and nightclub-maker Danny Grant. Since its May opening, there have already been reports of ravers lining up outside, which is impressive given the venue’s 800-person capacity. Dance-lovers of all genres are catered for well here, with DJs bringing house, retro, electro and hip hop. Should you make the trip out here? That's up to you. But if you live around the area, there's never been a better reason to forgo expensive taxi fares or designated drivers and revel in a big night of local pride.
