Melbourne’s iconic Alumbra has reopened after closing for renovations earlier this year.
With an extended floor plan, the Docklands club has the biggest capacity since opening 12 years ago. Their new design features a New York inspired interior, with exposed brick walls and scaffolding installations running through the venue. The themed posters and projections give the illusion of stepping downtown into the streets of New York: a retro, funky New York with the slick upholstery decorating both upstairs and downstairs, beside the huge island bar. A massive dance floor beyond sports one of Melbourne's best light and sound systems and a retro lit dance floor panelled all in glass, showing off the smooth moves of the fish below.
