Many a pub and bottle shop across the land has suffered this tragic situation... a lack of tinnies come Meredith-time (Dec 8-10). It’s a common story; as the party-ready masses descend on the famed music festival they discover that local watering holes have run dry.
This year, Young Henrys are looking to put an end to this by offering mates rates for those thirsty punters on the way to Meredith. For a pineapple ($50) you can snag a case of Newtowner Pale Ale, Natural Lager or Cloudy Cider. And best of all you’ll be able to take your haul with you into the festival, as the slabs don’t violate Meredith’s strict no-glass policy.
Preorders are open now until 4pm December 7 and you can pick up your brew babies on December 5-7 at the Commercial Club Hotel in Fitzroy between 4-7pm.
If you didn’t already love these brewing legends enough, they also want to shout you and your thirsty mates a round of cold ones. During the pick up times for their mates rates preorders, Young Henrys will also be throwing their Neighbourhood Bar Shout for those who want to sample before you buy, or just want to enjoy a tall one at the bar. You’ll also be able to pick up a slab of the ale, lager or cider for $55, just in case you forgot to get your preorder in on time.
