For many Melburnians, brunch is more than a meal – it’s a bloody institution. So put your mimosas in the air and toast to everyone’s favourite north side food truck park Welcome to Thornbury because this weekend they’re putting brunch front and centre.

Welcome to Thornbury will be throwing what we assume is Melbourne’s first mimosa and brunch festival. They’ll be opening up the gates a little earlier for a full line-up of brunch specials from the likes of Gorilla Grill, Curry Up Now, Sparrow’s Philly Cheesesteak, Mr Burger, Brunetti’s, Levain Doughnuts and Let’s Waffle ‘N Shake.

There will be a limited edition brunch burgers, brunch waffles and yes, all the mimosas you could dream of. The bar team will be slinging different flavoured mimosas all day – including pineapple, peach and the classic orange – as well as bourbon iced tea jugs.

Keen? Head to Welcome to Thornbury from 11am this Sunday July 30 to get amongst it.

Head here for Melbourne brunches worth the early morning queue.

More of a vino fan? Melbourne's getting a festival dedicated to Pinot Noir.
