Cheese rules everything around us. You know it, and Anthony Femia from Maker and Monger and Darren Purchese of Burch and Purchese knows it too. The cheesemonger and famed pastry chef are teaming up for a tasty collab on Sunday July 23 at Prahran Market in the lead up to the release of Purchese's new cookbook, titled Chefs Eat Toasties Too.
In the book, Purchese comes up with next-level toasties that go beyond your good old ham and cheese or peanut butter and jam numbers. Try a couple of the toasties this Sunday when the chef best known for his Chapel Street patisserie teams up with Prahran Market's resident cheesemonger at the Market and Monger stall.

They'll be offering a Welsh rarebit with ham from the market's Gary's Meats shop ($11), and a sweet croissant toastie where a Tivoli Road Bakery croissant will be stuffed with mascarpone, vanilla, strawberries and chocolate.

Stick around and you can grab a signed copy of Chefs Eat Toasties Too so you can up your toasted sambo game at home.
