Northsiders rejoice, Hanoi Hannah is crossing the river to Carlton where it will be popping up at Yo-Chi's Carlton venue for a month-long Vietnamese hawker kitchen pop-up kiosk.
The joining of forces is a smart move on Yo-Chi's part, which no doubt will have found that demand for their self-serve froyo has declined as Carlton residents opt for warmer treats in winter. The Hanoi Hannah will be dishing up a decent spread which includes belly-warming bowls of their beef, chicken or mushroom pho, fresh banh mi sandwiches, and yellowfin tuna and Peking duck rice paper rolls. Finish up with a dessert from Yo-Chi's Winter Creations menu, they're serving up limited edition desserts including a warm chocolate mud cake with vanilla frozen yoghurt and chocolate soil called the Lava'nother. If you prefer a DIY dessert, dish yourself up a bowl of your favourite frozen yoghurt and toppings.
The pop-up will launch from Tuesday July 5 at Yo-Chi Carlton and will be on for a month. It's open daily from noon to 10pm.
