No, that pizza you see isn't a traditional red sauce pizza with some fresh burrata. It's pizza-gelato hybrid dessert. Carlton pizzeria DOC has partnered with Pidapipó Gelateria for a limited edition dessert pizza menu at a one night only pop-up at the DOC Pizza and Mozzarella Bar restaurant on Drummond Street.

Tony Nicoloni from DOC and Pidapipó's Lisa Valmorbida have combined their expertise to create three sweet pizzas including: a black rice pizza with mango, vincotto and caramelised macadamia with coconut sorbet; a Siciliana pizza with buffalo ricotta, passito di Pantelleria, candied fruit, salted chocolate and Pidapipó's ricotta gelato; and a sweet margherita with tomato and strawberry passata, limoncello ricotta, sweet fried basil and Pidapipó's fior di latte gelato.

You only have one chance to try these babies. Pidapipó is opening a pop-up stall outside DOC Drummond Street on Friday November 25 from 5pm to 8pm, where they'll be selling the dessert pizzas for $12 along with glasses of DOC Spritz. If you miss out on the pop-up, Tony Nicoloni will be hosting two workshops on Thursday November 24 at Pidapipó's Windsor laboratory where you can learn how to make your own dessert pizza at home. Sessions run from 6pm and 7.30pm and cost $35 per person. Book your place online
