I Didn't See It Coming: Scottish indie darlings Belle and Sebastian have announced an Australian tour in May, 2018.

It's the first time that the indie pop pioneers have come to Australia since 2015. They'll be wrapping up a global tour with shows in Perth, Brisbane, the Palais Theatre in Melbourne and the Sydney Opera House in Sydney.

If you've ever seen the band live, then you'll know to expect plenty of chat from frontman Stuart Murdoch, a full ensemble of musicians on stage, and lots of songs from early albums like debut record Tigermilk (1996) or 1998's The Boy with the Arab Strap (AKA the soundtracks to your teenage years).

In the lead-up to the Australian dates, they'll be releasing three EPs, all titled 'How to Solve Our Human Problems'. The first comes out on December 8, then January 19, then February 16. You can listen to their first track, 'I'll Be Your Pilot'.

Pre-sale starts at 9am, November 29, and general public sale begins at 9am, December 1.
