[title]World Square presents Time Out's annual pop-up beer bar, back for another year of foamy fun and crafty conversation this Sydney Beer Week, and open from Saturday October 21 to Sunday October 29.
Bringing beers from around Australia to your doorstep, the Hop-Up offers the perfect excuse to knock off from work on time. To complement the hand-picked selection of beers and live entertainment, a pop-up Grill'd will be serving mouthwatering burgers to match the frothy brews.
The Time Out Hop-Up presented by World Square will be open 12-9pm (Sat 21- Sun 22 Oct), 5-9pm (Mon 23- Wed 25 Oct), 12-9pm (Thu 26- Sun 29 Oct) at World Square, 644 George St, Sydney 2000. Here's a rundown of what's happening at the Time Out Hop-Up throughout the week, presented by World Square.
Saturday October 21 to Sunday October 22 – The Time Out Hop-Up presented by World Square
For the first three days of the Hop-Up, the Time Out Hop-Up presented by World Square will be showcasing beers from Yenda (NSW), Little Creatures (WA), Mountain Goat (VIC), Tuatara (NZ), Mismatch (SA), Gage Roads (WA), Balter (QLD) and more. All beers will be available on a tasting paddle with tasting notes, or as a middy or schooner. Boilermakers will be available, courtesy of Jameson Caskmates – your favourite Irish dram aged in stout barrels. Kick start the party on Saturday with Nes taking over the decks from late afternoon.
Monday October 23 – Young Henrys x Jameson Caskmates boilermaker bash
To kick start the working week, Jameson and Young Henrys are hosting a boilermaker bash. Come on down to the Hop-Up at World Square and be the first in the world to sample their special limited edition Jameson Caskmates x Young Henrys edition boilermaker.
Guests will receive a complimentary boilermaker – ie a Jameson Caskmates shot paired with a matching brew from Young Henrys. Expect quite the live music bash with both the Los Tones and Moon Brain performing exclusively for this event. Now that's a good time.
Tuesday October 24 – Battle of the Busker
On Tuesday at the Hop-Up, Time Out and Yenda present the Battle of the Busker. Sydney's finest buskers will go head to head in the ultimate busk-off. For your chance to win one of 50 double passes to the event, simply register your interest. All guests will be treated to music from some of the city’s brightest busking talent plus complimentary Yenda beer. The Hop-Up bar presented by World Square will also be open for business as usual.
Wednesday October 25 – Little Creatures Live
Little Creatures have been taking their love of beer on the road, staging performance art, food and beer at on-premise locations around Australia. Next stop: the Time Out Hop-Up presented by World Square. Join Time Out for Little Creatures Live – a night inspired by the original name of their very first Pale Ale, brewed their own way with fresh hops flowers and live yeast. For your chance to win one of 50 double passes, simply register your interest. All guests will be treated to a night of carnival entertainment plus complimentary Little Creatures brews. The Hop-Up bar presented by World Square will also be open for business as usual.
Thursday October 26 to Sunday October 29 – The Time Out Hop-Up presented by World Square
From Thursday, you can sample the best of Australian brews, with the Hop-Up bar presented by World Square serving Little Creatures, Yenda, Mountain Goat, Tuatara, Mismatch, Gage Roads, Balter and more. There will also be Boilermakers brought to you by Jameson Caskmates. As part of your perfect visit to Sydney, World Square and Time Out have the beer for you at the Hop-Up presented by World Square, part of Sydney Beer Week. Live acoustic soul will be playing Thursday and Sunday, with vinyl action in between.
