[title]Earlier this year, Brunswick's heritage-listed Hotel Railway swung open its doors to the public once again after undergoing a multi-year mammoth renovation, breathing new life and energy into the nearly 140-year-old three-level building.
Finally reopened after six years, the storied and formerly dilapidated building is now a sleek and bright pub and restaurant with terracotta accents, light wooden fixtures, a beer garden that wouldn’t look out of place in the Mediterranean, and a menu that’s fresh, delicious and inspired by the area's migrant roots.
This summer will be the first for Hotel Railway since its reopening in March. So to celebrate, the team are going all out, with weekend DJs and monthly DJ shows, ace drink deals, and the chance to win a massive food and beverage tab (yes please) with their 52 Weeks of Summer Sessions giveaway.
Come the weekend, Hotel Railway's beer garden will be the place to be with local and international DJs mixing funk, soul and disco beats so you can groove all summer long. You can also hit up Waving at Trains, a free monthly Sunday series of summertime DJ parties; the next one will be held on December 11, from 2-11pm. Local Melbourne artists DJ Sarah, Georgia Bird, Kalyani and Toni Yotzi, as well as one surprise international guest DJ, will be hitting the decks (it’s one of the big music festival side show acts!).
Head to the beer garden and catch up with mates in the sunshine and enjoy $15 summer jug specials on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with $15 jugs of Carlton Draught and Pirate Life South Coast Pale Ale; and $15 jugs of Aperol Spritz and Raspberry and Passion Spritz.
Plus, one lucky competition winner will be Hotel Railway’s special guest for an entire year! Each week they’ll get $100 to spend on drinks and food, equal to $5,200 for the year, to use as they please (hello Margaritas and oysters).
