The Prince Alfred Hotel

The folks behind 100 Burgers Group (Welcome to Thornbury and Mr Burger) have given this Melburnian pub a serious spruce up. The crowning glory of the Prince Alfred Hotel is now the rooftop bar, which is open all day and can fit up to 300 people. Given its location opposite Melbourne Univeristy the pub is still set to be a uni student fixture, and will honour this with well priced drinks and counter menus including vegan special Mondays, $15 parma Tuesdays and a daily happy hour with $4 pots, $8 pints and $5 bubbles. While the student edge is ever present, don't expect a dinghy uni pub atmosphere – the entire venue has been dolled up and boasts royal blue interiors, schmick bars and devoted café for when you feel more like a latte than a lager.
