Summer is here (kind of). The sun is shining (maybe). You're ready to kick back for an after-work bev with your mates (always). Summer Paradiso, the latest pop-up from Moon Dog Brewery, is here to satisfy your thirst this summer and become your new go-to CBD hangout.
The brewery has partnered with the Melbourne Arts Centre to set up an outdoor bar along St Kilda Road, in front of the famous spire. Summer Paradiso will showcase many Moon Dog classics, as well as featuring some seriously smoky, chargrilled goodies from Q Barbecue. The barbecue masters will be serving up smoked brisket, pork ribs with sticky gochujang glaze, beef short ribs, and pulled pork shoulder with Q-hog rub. The barbecue boxes will be served with all the trimmings, or you can go for a Q-Platter – a typical American-style barbecue share platter, perfect for splitting with your mates over a couple of frothies. Non-meateaters fear not, there will also be vegan food on offer, and for those just popping in for a lil' snack, try the corn ribs, burnt end nachos or classic fried chicken.
"There’s so much going on in Melbourne over summer between the Arts Centre, Australian Open and Sidney Myer Music Bowl, just to name a few," says Karl van Buuren, Moon Dog co-founder. "We’re looking forward to being the meeting point for visitors of these iconic Melbourne activities across the warmer months."
With cool drinks, finger-licking food and an ideal spot under palm trees in the heart of Melbourne, the last piece of the puzzle is some sweet tunes. That will be taken care of by local DJs playing every Friday-Sunday, music curated by Soundbox and a pop-up live audio studio. We'll see you down there.
