In news that will make you feel ancient, Fitzroy cocktail bar Polly is fast approaching her 18th year on Brunswick Street this weekend.
To celebrate, Polly is paying tribute to 1999, the year the bar opened. The bar will be mixing 90s cocktails like the classic Cosmo, a blue Pina Colada, and the garishly coloured Traffic Light. If there was an acceptable time to start drinking Sex on the Beaches again, this would be it. Wait until you get the bill, the 90s cocktails will be priced $12, which was what they cost back in 1999.
Even the music will wind the clock back to pre-Y2K tunes, so come dressed like it's 1999 with your favourite 'going out' tops, slinky slip dresses and terrible jeans to get in the mood.
