Merrywell Bar and Dining ticks all these boxes and more. Conveniently located at Crown, the venue serves a creative Modern Australian menu devised by executive chef Kevin Chung in collaboration with Daniel Wilson – the guy behind Huxtaburger – and their deft dishes span Asian, Mexican and Middle Eastern flavours.
We can’t think of a better way to spend a weekend afternoon that at a long lunch – it’s a tradition honoured at Merrywell Bar and Dining via the bottomless lunch menu. For $60 per person you can choose two food options (including things like zesty tequila guacamole, beef rendang spring rolls and perfectly crunchy Japanese fried chicken) and get unlimited Bellinis, Domaine Chandon NV sparkling, Pikorua sauvignon blanc and Four in Hand shiraz between noon and 3pm. That's three delicious hours of drinks and food.
Need a spot for your end-of-financial-year party? Merrywell Bar and Dining has a private dining room and takes bookings for parties of all sizes. Or perhaps you’re just looking for a place for a really great after-work drink. For May and June, Merrywell Bar and Dining has teamed up with fancy-pants vodka brand Ketel One for an exclusive cocktail menu. Drinks on the menu include a special Ketel One Bloody Mary and a vodka infusion and soda. In May the infusion is Ketel One vodka infused with watermelon and mint and topped with soda – sounds pretty damn refreshing.
Of course there are also plenty of beers, wines and cocktails on the bar menu, and Merrywell Bar and Dining has a great happy hour you'll want to take advantage of. Get amongst $6 Ketel One vodkas, $6 wines (red, white and sparkling) and $10 Espresso Martinis from 5 to 8pm every single day the restaurant is open. It's a great way to start the night, or just enjoy a quick one with your workmates on your way to the train station.
Merrywell Bar and Dining is at Crown Riverwalk, Level 1, Crown Melbourne. It's open till late Wednesdays to Sundays, with the restaurant open for dinner Wednesday-Thursday and for both lunch and dinner Friday to Sunday.
