At this point, Open Studio is a beloved stalwart of the Northcote streetscape, having warmed up High Street with its jovial gigs and a well-stocked bar since 2006. The quaint bar and live musical venue is famous for its crêpes, its menu of more than 40 cocktails and for being the spiritual home of many of Melbourne’s musicians, poets and live performers. Where else can you get crêpes, cocktails and chords in the one cosy venue?
On the music front, the venue tends to book both local and international performers in the genres of jazz, funk, Balkan, Latin, indie, world music and more. Gigs happen in the intimate nook of Open Studio’s front window, or in its cute courtyard come summertime.
As for the crėpes, you’ve got options galore for both sweet and savoury. Better yet, they’re made with gluten free buckwheat flour.
Head to the Open Studio website for the full menu and gig guide.
