For years this upper-level Swanston Street bar has served as the watering hole for RMIT and Melbourne Uni students and cheapskates alike. Many a fight has been settled and romance has bloomed upon that girthy smoking deck, encouraged by cheap beers and low lighting.
They play host to indie bands and have DJs playing sets until breakfast time on the weekends. The Lounge Kitchen is also known for cheap lunch deals that see a mix of CBD office workers and students scoffing down $9 meal deals.
