Time Out says

Joe and his continental footwear don’t live here anymore. We lament his passing but hey, we’ll take this snappy little wine bar as worthy compensation. Housed in the old shop and still using the signage, this bar is Northcote to a T. It’s quirky but not cutesy, and though on the gentrified side retains just a hint of a rock and roll edge. Vinyl spins on reclaimed decks, and trophies to no one, paella pans, and plastic sausages create that “hey! Look how quirky I am’ aesthetic that we hold so dear. The staff charged with pouring the drinks, manning the decks and keeping things copacetic are a good natured bunch – not to mention pretty damn easy on the eyes. Get them to pour you one of the 20 old world and Australian wines that they serve by the glass, or for sunny fun times, get a longneck of Messina – Sicily’s finest. It’s clean, but has a Sicilian personality, with a lot of bite. It’s the perfect wingman for a touch of competitive netball or petanque in the beer garden/sporting arena. Steins of Argentinian ale (scientifically proven to increase beer drinking fun), and free delivery from Pizza Mein Liebe next door make this bar dangerously addictive.
