Melbourne meets Munich at this new Bavarian bier hall. It's been a while since we saw a bank of taps dedicated to the sweet, syrupy trappist beers and bocks of Europe. Here on Southbank, they have all the beers you don't know how to pronounce. How about a Köstritzer Schwarzbier black bier? Or a fresh Sion Kolsch (an easy-drinking pale). They've got 30 taps and a pretty big bottle range backing it up as well as all Germany's greatest beer-soaking hits including whole sausage platters and schnitzels to big hunks of Black Angus smoked up on the barbecue. Good stein-swinging times on the Yarra.
