Mini golf, like karaoke, is much better when there is a bar. Melbourne mini golf course Holey Moley goes a step further, with ridiculous drinks, themed holes and a hole (sorry, not sorry) lot of silly fun.
The first Holey Moley in Melbourne is on Little Bourke Street, and in July 2019 the crew opened a second, in Crown Casino. The venue includes a bar in an empty swimming pool, complete with lifebuoy shaped tables, banana lounges and a diving board.
There is a special food and drink menu created just for this location, with drinks like Duck, Duck Joose (orange liqueur, cinnamon whisky, banana puree, egg white, pineapple and lime juice, coconut and berry energy drink, and served in a mini bathtub with rubber duckies) or the Shark Bite (spiced rum, pineapple rum, ginger, falernum, orgeat, egg white, lime, pineapple juice, orange bitters, served in a shark head ceramic cup). In the mood to share (or just want a huge version all for yourself)? You can get any cocktail in a Sharing Trophy, which is served in yes, a giant trophy. Beer, wine and cider are also available.
Food is of the fairground variety, including loaded fries, pizzas and potato gems.
Holes include Drop It Like It's Slot (a golf ball slot machine, to remind you you are in a casino); It's-A Me, Pario; and Do Not Pass Go, which is inspired by Monopoly.
