Werribee Open Range Zoo is home to some seriously happy looking hippopotami, who reside in the park's custom-built beach.
Every day at 1.10pm, Werribee Open Range Zoo's expert keepers deliver an insightful talk that gives you a glimpse into the life, behaviours and biology of these fascinating sub-Saharan creatures. The talk is free with admission, and kids under 16 visit for free during the school holidays!
The keepers will give you a behind-the-scenes look into the secret lives of the Zoo's hippos, highlighting their different personalities and feeding habits. You'll also get a look in on a health check, where keepers will show off the animal's teeth and tusks.
Werribee Open Range Zoo is just 30 minutes out of Melbourne, so why not head out on a wild adventure this weekend.
