Time Out says

Castlemaine's Botanical Gardens have a long history: did you know they're the home to a 150 year-old oak tree planted in 1867 by the then Duke of Edinborough? The verdant gardens also have a number of shady spots for picnics, an ornamental lake, barbecue facilities, a rotunda, public toilets and a children's playground.
