Time Out says

One of Melbourne’s most exciting young filmmakers, Ling Ang, is launching her new project Souvenirs of Sleep this March. The project takes shape in the form of a photobook, which showcases a number of dreams that Ang had over the last three years.

This is the first time Ang has branched out from behind the camera lens, exploring both the conscious and subconscious in over 700 written records. The dreams are explored in various mediums, and you’ll be able to explore them in an immersive experience at St Kilda’s Alex Theatre. Made in partnership with the NGV for Melbourne Design Week, visitors will be able to explore installations that mimic Ang’s childhood bedroom and see photography laden with text that all culminate into a sort of sci-fi dreamscape.

Ang is launching Souvenirs of Sleep with a talk at the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) on March 27, from 1.30-2.30pm. Then, you can head over to the 3D immersive experience at the Alex Theatre from 6-10pm. For more information and to register to attend, head to the website
