Time Out says

The old Pentridge Prison site now has it all. A cinema, a wine cellar and even an art gallery. Pentridge Arts is an arts space that has room for artists to both create and exhibit their work.

Pentridge Arts opened in May 2021 and currently includes two venues, Pentridge Studios and Divisions Gallery. Pentridge Studios, as you might have guessed, is a studio space for artists in residence, which have included the likes of Kenny Pittock, Lana Daubermann and Varuni K.

Divisions Gallery is where you might see the work of Pentridge's resident artists on show, though the gallery also runs exhibitions for non-resident artists, too. The gallery's goal is to "create a new paradigm for art and culture" and intends to eventually move into a larger permanent location inside one of Pentridge's heritage buildings (it's currently located opposite the cinema).

Pentridge Arts is open Thursday to Sunday – visit the website for the current exhibitions.
