Time Out says

Footscray Community Arts Centre's first exhibition post lockdown is Arising, a reflection on the events of 2020 by the artists of FCAC's ArtLife program.

For those unfamiliar with the program, ArtLife is a workshop program where artists with a disability can work alongside professional facilitating artists. The collaborative program and community consists of roughly 50 artists, 32 of whom are presenting works for Arising.

Throughout the exhibition you'll discover paintings, photographs, drawings and spoken word works that unpick some of the common threads of 2020, such as isolation, interruption, uncertainty and resilience.

Arising opens Friday, December 4 in FCAC's Roslyn Smorgon Gallery. The exhibition can also be viewed online.
