This summer, we’re embracing the idea of ‘mi cocina es su cocina’. Translating to ‘my kitchen is your kitchen’, this phrase embodies Madrí Excepcional’s dedication to bringing the Soul of Madrid to all of us across the UK. And what better way to do that than a live event featuring street art and street food?
From July 19-21, we’re bringing you a pop-up event inspired by the vibrant food scenes of Manchester and Madrid. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it.
The food pop-up will be on a whistle-stop tour around the country. The brightly coloured red food truck will be serving seriously drool-worthy chef duets inspired by Madrí Excepcional’s dedication to cross-cultural communication. Each creation will come from a pair of highly respected British-based and Spanish chefs, resulting in intriguing hybrid dishes that you get to sample at a buzzing pop-up food event at Cathedral Gardens.
You’ll get to try the roasted cabbage with bravas sauce, prawn and jamon Serrano – with a Madrid twist. This dish comes from award-winning chefs Julian Pizer and Roberto Foronda.
However, that’s not all that’ll be on offer. From the moment you arrive in Cathedral Gardens, you’ll be transported to Madrid, with the sights, smells, and sounds of the city coming to life. Experience a Street Art Scavenger Hunt mural that will have you exploring the site in a ‘Where’s Wally’-style hunt for exclusive prizes, alongside a free can of Madrí Excepcional.
This will be the first stop on the country-wide tour, where chefs will serve up mouthwatering collaborative dishes in Birmingham (July 27-28, Brindleyplace), Bristol (August 3-4, Bristol Anchor Square) and London (August 10-11, Ely’s Yard).
What are you waiting for? Get ready to fiesta with Madrí Excepcional and enjoy a day out inspired by two of the world’s most interesting food scenes. It’s sure to be a brilliant blending of cultures.
Madri Excepcional’s summer pop-up is taking place on July 19, 20 and 21 at Cathedral Gardens. Find out more about the event here.
Brewed in the UK. Please drink responsibly.
