Time Out says

Established by Manchester's very own Mr Scruff, whose love of tea is as strong as his love of music (if not stronger), Teacup is a place where you’ll not only find all manner of tea varieties, but an extensive cake menu, cocktails, wines and beers, plus a full lunch and evening meal menu, too. Where possible, Teacup ingredients are organic and fairtrade. It's also refreshingly child-friendly.

It's all rather lovely, the décor is nicely done, the staff are friendly. But it's not cheap. Taking loose-leaf tea this seriously means you'll pay close to a fiver for a pot of something premium and there's no hot water to top your pot up. Some teas also come with timers so that you know when to start pouring for maximum flavour. It also gets very, very busy, its popularity meaning that there's sometimes a queue to get in. If you really love your tea though, it'll be well worth the wait.
