He's on TV quite a bit these days but Simon Rimmer can still be regularly found at the pass at his impressive Hale restaurant, which means the quality of Earl's bistro fare (think roasted rack of lamb, steak and marrow burgers and loin of cod) remains high. Sunday roasts offer some really great value, and the dining room is informal and relaxed, so don't expect loads of pomp and ceremony.
