Manchester is known as one of the proudest LGBTQ+ cities in the world – and for good reason. Canal Street and the gay village have always been more than a collection of bars, clubs and businesses. Together, they’re a movement, and a community of people not ‘accepted’ or ‘tolerated’ but embraced.
This year Manchester Pride is placing an even greater emphasis on community, fundraising and political advocacy than ever. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2022 celebrations, including the full line-up and how to get tickets.

That depends on how much or little you want to do. You can expect to stump £32.50 for the full weekend at the Village Party, with day tickets slightly less and a family pass for four costing between £40 and £49 per day. There are also tickets available for people on low incomes. £2.50 from the sale of every ticket goes to the Pride Community Fund. Find out more and book tickets here.
Where can I pick up my wristband?
Before or when you arrive at Manchester Pride, you’ll need to swap your e-ticket or printed ticket for a wristband (also known as a ‘pledge band’).
You can pick up your wristband at the Pride Box Office, on Minshull Street next to the Gay Village, from Friday August 26. The office will be open across the weekend, and it’s recommended you keep an eye on the website for up-to-date opening hours.
