There are many iconic music venues in Manchester but few are able to reach the awe-inspiring heights of Mayfield Depot, the once-abandoned warehouse next to Piccadilly Station.

The building has hosted some legendary performances, including both Massive Attack and Stormzy as part of Manchester International Festival, huge immersive theatre shows, exhibitions and even contemporary dance. But perhaps the venue is best suited to massive – and we mean MASSIVE – club nights.

The brand that reigns supreme at Depot Mayfield is the Warehouse Project, a seasonal series of nights out which has dominated Manchester’s nightlife scene since 2006.

Their 2021 lineup couldn't be more exciting, starting off with some rare live music on
Friday, September 17 courtesy of headliners Nile Rodgers & Chic, with an undercard featuring the likes of Horsemeat Disco, Craig Charles and the House Gospel Choir. And that’s just for openers. The following day, an event called Repercussion Festival features names like DJ Shadow, Floating Points and Jayda G – so pace yourselves.

And we really mean that: today the full WHP lineup was announced, and blimey it’s impressive. Headliners throughout the autumn and winter include the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Migos, Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Four Tet, Rudimental, Disclosure, Caribou, Annie Mac, Jamie XX, Amelie Lens and Bicep. Clubbing is back with a bang, in other words, and we’re buzzed about it.

The full lineup will keep growing over the coming months so check the Warehouse project website for updates.

Tickets go on sale on
Thursday, May 27 via www.thewarehouseproject.com
