Photographs of Albert Hall in Manchester before it was renovated

Albert Hall has quickly become an integral part of the Manchester live music scene, with the Transmission series in residence and bands including Warpaint, Belle and Sebastian and Underworld performing this year.

But back in 2012 with the building being prepared for Manchester International Festival in 2013, it was very far from being open to the public, as these atmospheric images, taken when Albert Hall was still derelict, reveal.
