Time Out says

Finley Quaye was born into a musical family, most notably as the son of jazz musician Cab Kaye.

Since then, he's mastered a sound that can ably drift between bass-heavy roots reggae and ethereal, otherworldly electronica that calms the core in an instant. This eclectic style has won him the 1997 Mobo Award for 'Best Artist' and the 1998 BRIT Award for 'Best Male Solo Artist', as well as a collaboration with William Orbit and Beth Orton for 2004 single 'Dice'.
