If summer in the city is getting you hot and bothered, head to just an hour from Manchester for some seriously luxurious glamping. Ribblesdale Park launches summer staycations this month, encouraging you to find your wild, although with on-site heated outdoor pools, pilates classes and the fancy Hindilinis restaurant, you're not exactly in danger of getting your hands dirty...

The Instituto Cervantes Manchester presents a concert at St Anne's Church with singer and historian Mara Aranda. Considered one of the world's foremost talents in the music of the Sephardic and medieval culture, her performance will showcase the sounds of medieval musical instruments from all over the Mediterranean area.

A taster weekend looking forward to the full festival in 2023, this trailblazer for Salaam Festival presents two astonishing performers. Muhammed Iqbal performs a musical work written and composed by Rushil Ranjan and backed by Manchester Camerata featuring Abi Sampa as vocalist. And the superb, Grammy-winning Arooj Aftab will fill Albert Hall with her amazing voice, making next year's full festival something to really look forward to.
