With so many great places to eat here in Manchester, it can be harder than you think choosing where to visit for dinner. But what if location was no object and you could flit between the city's best to sample a starter, main and dessert at three different spots? Here's two suggestions of dream three-course meals (and an after-dinner tipple) in Manchester.

For the meat lovers…

Start with some crispy and delicious pork crackling from Artisan, followed by a rack of tender ribs smothered in rum sauce courtesy of Cane and Grain, with Solita's sweet potato fries on the side. Finished with the famous secret of Home Sweet Home, the Cookie Skillet (it isn’t on the menu, you just order from your waiter) and then the smoky old fashioned from The Alchemist is the perfect after dinner tipple.

For the not so meaty lovers…

Gone are the days where not being a meat eater meant you had to stick to a specific list of restaurants if you wanted top quality grub. Salvi's Aranchini is a great way to begin your meal, before tucking into a goats' cheese pizza from our new favourite Ply. Mojito battered onion rings at Revolucion de Cuba are a great side dish, or if you aren’t cheesed out, some truffled mac and cheese from All Star Lanes makes great company for any dish! If not completely stuffed, then Richmond Tea Rooms' Boston cream cake will round off your meal perfectly, along with the cocktail take on the childhood classic Screwball, also courtesy of The Alchemist.
