Manchester Day has become one of the biggest and most enjoyable events in the annual city calendar and this week there's an open meeting at Manchester Town Hall with event organisers Walk the Plank for anyone wanting to be part of the 2015 event.

The parade down Deansgate last year saw over 100 Manchester based organisation bring 2,600 participants to the city centre to celebrate all things Manchester. It's not only the parade, of course, with the city centre's squares featuring performance and the best in street food and drink, all happening between noon and 6pm, so you can still be home in time for your tea.

The 2015 event will take its theme as 'Game On', something which will be reflected in the parade, the food and events on the day.

If you'd like to take part or get involved, get along to the meeting at the Manchester Town Hall on Sat Jan 10, one session at  11am and another at 2pm.
