Blackjack Beers have revealed plans for their first ever pub, which will be located on the edge of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
The team behind the Green Quarter brewery have taken over the Smithfield Tavern on Swan Street, and are planning to open later this month.
Blackjack have regularly opened the doors to their brewery for their popular BrewTap events, but this is the first time they’ll have a permanent site in the city.
Although they’ve not revealed much detail on their plans to revamp the building, they’ve promised six cask ales along with a number of keg and bottled beers. Spirits and wine will also be on offer for non-beer drinkers.
Games will also be provided and they aim to host music events at the bar.
A soft launch event is to take place on June 11, ahead of the official opening on June 17. It will then be open six days a week, Tuesdays-Sundays.
