So, what's with the name? Adjacent to the pub is 'Dukes Lock' which is the 92nd and final lock on the Rochdale Canal.
Now that that's sorted, what's all the fuss about?
Well, Dukes 92 has undergone several extensions since it opened in 1991, and now combines the origianal building - brick stables and beams - with a mix of modern and antique furniture.
It has different levels too and, whilst it's an open and airy space, there are nooks in whcih too cradle your drink or enjoy your food. The outside space makes for a fantastic spot in the summer too.
