A huge park - the biggest municipal one in Europe no less - which also plays host to major events like the Parklife music festival.

Well, tt has a Grade I listed, 18th-century country house called Heaton Hall, an 18-hole golf course with driving range, a lovely boating lake, an animal farm, woodlands, ornamental gardens, an observatory, two playgrounds, a Papal monument and a volunteer-run tram system, restaurant and lakeside tea room, making it a perfect place for a stroll with the family or the dog or with just by yourself should you so wish.
