Solar de Grilo

This abandoned plot was reincarnated as an urban garden thanks to the efforts of the neighbourhood's locals and the support from collectives such as the Patio Maravillas and Asamblea 15M de Malasaña. Thanks to this self-management spirit, which is ever-growing in Madrid, they organise agro-ecological markets, workshops and activities for all ages. In summer there's also space for free film screenings at dusk, starting from July 19. This year they're showing such films as 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', 'V for Vendetta' and many more.
