Occupying the the site of the old Teatro Olimpia, Teatro Valle-Inclán first opened in 2006 and is the second headquarters of the Centro Dramático Nacional after Teatro María Guerrero. The main auditorium, with 510 seats, is equipped with the latest technology, and its programme includes works by contemporary Spanish writers and figures like Pirandello, Ibsen and Jean Genet. In the neighbouring Sala Francisco Nieva, with capacity for 150 spectators, you're more likely to find works by up-and-coming talent.
