This beautiful, hidden-away theatre dating from the end of the 19th century is one of the bases of the Centro Dramático Nacional (CDN). Following refurbishment in 2003, it reopened as a renovated place (while conserving its red velvet) and with a new auditorium, in order to continue hosting some of Madrid's most avant-garde productions, many of them written by contemporary Spanish playwrights.
