Taberna & Media is all about well-selected raw materials treated with respect and professionalism. Providing good food isn't so hard if it's done with honesty and simplicity, not straying too far from the local path. In fact, you get equally top quality and treatment with tinned 'conservas' and first-class sausages as you do with purple artichokes from Alicante, 'torreznos' from Fuentidueña, tomatoes from Zaragoza, hake from Celeiro... you get the idea. This family business treats its customers as if they were welcoming you into their home, whether you have tapas at the bar or a fuller meal in the small dining room. Traditional cuisine (callos, Russian salad, carrillera and an amazing 'torrija' for dessert) meets a few items from a more modern Madrid menu (ceviche, tuna tartare).
